In his performances, the choreographer and dancer Radouan Mriziga explores the relationship between dance and architecture, and portrays mankind as a balancing act between intellect, body and soul. In the performance pathway entitled ‘8’ he explores the polyrhythm, a basic rhythm in African music. By searching for the social equivalent of this unusual harmony, this exercise for two dancers reminds us of the necessity of, and the wealth of differences in a creative process. Mriziga invites you to deepen the way you listen, both to others and to yourself.

8 is part of 'Objects Chorégraphiques':

Researching, sharing, experimenting and passing-on are the four core words of the project Objets chorégraphiques. The project, which was initiated by Espace Darja, is a platform supported by a number of partners in Morocco and by Moussem Nomadic Arts Centre, linked to an international network.
In the context of this platform, the choreographers Meryem Jazouli, Taoufiq Izeddiou, Radouan Mriziga and Youness Khoukhou engage in a joint project and create a number of different performance pathways with some sixteen young dancers from Morocco.
